Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said indirect talks with the US have produced no results and dismissed prospects for any breakthrough. Speaking at a memorial for late President Ebrahim Raisi in Tehran, Khamenei credited Raisi’s firm rejection of direct talks with Washington as a key reason for US pressure.
Khamenei warned the US not to “talk nonsense” about Iran’s uranium enrichment, stressing that Iran does not seek or require permission from any country. He said Iran will continue its nuclear path and hinted he would later reveal Western motives behind opposing Iran’s enrichment program.
