North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un has called for the accelerated production of advanced unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) following his participation in a performance test of domestically produced drones. During his visit to the Drone Institute of the Academy of Defense Sciences, Kim expressed satisfaction with the tactical and technical capabilities of the UAVs and emphasized the importance of equipping the Korean People’s Army (KPA) with the latest drone technology. He ordered the rapid development and production of various types of suicide drones for tactical and special operations units, along with strategic reconnaissance and multi-purpose attack drones. Kim also highlighted the significance of integrating artificial intelligence into drone technology and developing underwater attack drones.
