A male assailant carried out a knife attack on people at the Westfield Bondi Junction shopping mall in Sydney, Australia. The police reported that the attacker killed 5 people, including a child, and injured 9 others. The condition of some injured people was reported to be critical. The attacker was shot and killed by the police at the scene.
