Kosovo Issues Warning as Extreme Heat Continues

Kosovo is experiencing extreme heat, prompting authorities to issue a warning for individuals over the age of 60 to avoid going out on the streets. Civil servants in Prizren within that age group were given administrative leave until Friday. The Kosovo Hydrometeorology Institution stated that the extreme heat, lasting for two weeks, is expected to continue throughout the current week. Citizens are urged not to go out unless necessary. The air temperature has risen above seasonal norms, reaching sweltering levels across the country. The Ministry of Health has advised all adults over 60 not to go out between 11:00 and 19:00.
