KRG Elects New Parliament Members

People in the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) in northern Iraq are going to the polls for the general elections that will determine the members of the parliament after a 6-year hiatus. Voting in the KRG, where the number of voters is more than 2,899,000, will start at 07:00 and end at 18:00.

According to the KRG’s election law, women must have at least 30 seats in the 100-seat parliament, 5 of which are reserved for minorities.
