Kumköy Dam in Türkiye’s Çanakkale Completely Dries Up

The dam in Kumköy village in Çanakkale’s Eceabat district, renowned for its fertile lands, has completely dried up. The situation was revealed through drone footage. Lower-than-expected winter rainfall led to the dam failing to reach its desired water levels, causing a gradual decline in water volume and heightening the risk of drought. The sight of the dried-up Kumköy Dam, previously used by producers, left observers stunned.
