The airport in La Palma has been closed due to volcanic ash spreading on the runway, according to the Spanish Airports Authority AENA. The runways should be cleaned-up in order to make the airport operative again, AEANA spokesperson said.
The airport, which had previously been closed on September 25, has now been closed for the second time since the volcano’s eruption on September 19.
