Landslide blocks road, damage trucks near Georgian Border in Türkiye

A landslide occurred on the Black Sea Coastal Road between Hopa and Kemalpaşa in the Kemalpaşa district of Artvin, Türkiye. Two trucks were severely damaged and two others were partially damaged as a result of rock fragments falling on them while parked on the side of the road. An Azerbaijani citizen killed in the incident, while 2 people were injured. Vehicles formed long lines as the road to the Sarp Border Crossing on Georgian border was closed to traffic.

Teams are still working to open the road.
