Landslides caused by heavy rain in ten cities in the state of Sao Paulo killed 19 people, injured at least 9, and forced 500 others to evacuate their homes. Governor Joao Doria of Sao Paulo announced that 15 million reals (approximately $2.8 million) will be donated to the cities affected by the disaster after conducting helicopter inspections over affected areas. Heavy rains are expected to continue until tomorrow, according to the Sao Paulo Meteorological Service.
