Landslide on Colombia Highway Kills 18

A severe landslide occurred on a highway between the cities of Quibdo and Medellin in the Choco region of Colombia after heavy rainfall buried many people in their vehicles underground. Eighteen people died and 35 people were injured in the disaster. Search and rescue efforts in the region continue.

Authorities announced that landslides occurred at different points and that the road was temporarily closed to traffic.
