In Riga, Latvia, thousands of people protested the current coalition’s policies regarding the healthcare and education sectors. The Latvian Education and Science Workers’ Trade Union (LIZDA) also declared a three-day strike because the Latvian government had broken earlier agreements with teachers about pay and working conditions.
