Lightning-Strike Fire Rages in Thailand’s Khao Laem National Park

A lightning strike caused a fire to break out in Thailand’s Khao Laem National Park located in Nakhon Nayok province. The fire was fueled by strong winds and posed difficulties for firefighters due to the region’s steep mountains. The blaze advanced towards a military unit nearby, and authorities were forced to wait until the morning to provide helicopter intervention support.

Firefighters will use drones to monitor the fire overnight, while helicopters are expected to arrive in the region in the morning.
