Lightning Strikes Mecca’s Tallest Tower During Heavy Rain

During heavy rain in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, lightning struck the 601-meter-tall Royal Clock Tower, one of the world’s tallest buildings. The event was captured on camera, and despite the downpour, Muslims continued to pray in the Kaaba. The General Directorate of Civil Defense issued a warning about heavy rains and flooding, advising people to avoid contact with metal objects that conduct electricity.
