London Police Test Drones for Emergency Response

London police have begun testing a new program called “Drone as First Responder programme” in the city’s Islington district.

The drones, stored on police station rooftops, can be deployed remotely to provide live footage to officers. Authorities say they will help locate suspects, missing persons, and collect evidence. Trials are expected to expand to other parts of London by year’s end
