London Street Renamed from “Black Boy Lane” to “La Rose Lane” over Racism

A street in the Harringey area of London, England, was renamed due to concerns about racism. The street, previously known as “Black Boy Lane,” located in a neighborhood with a significant Turkish population in North London, was renamed “La Rose Lane.” The new name was chosen to honor the writer John La Rose. The street’s signs and addresses were changed to reflect the new name.
