Many Londoners gathered around the London Eye, Europe’s tallest cantilevered observation wheel, to welcome the new year. As the bells of Big Ben, another iconic structure of the city, rang at 00.00, numerous fireworks set up on the London Eye colored the sky.
The colorful celebrations were attended by thousands of people.
