Ground handling personnel at Lufthansa initiated a warning strike at major German airports, including Frankfurt, Munich, Hamburg, Berlin, and Düsseldorf, impacting around a thousand flights and over 100,000 passengers. The strike, organized by the United Service Workers Union (Ver.di), is set to continue until tomorrow. Frankfurt and Munich airports experienced the most significant disruptions, with 90% of planned flights canceled in Frankfurt and 400 out of 730 flights affected in Munich. Lufthansa announced the provision of train tickets for passengers affected by domestic flight cancellations.
