Turkish authorities have arrested a third suspect connected to the seizure of 51.5 kilograms of cocaine, valued at approximately 206 million TL, at Istanbul Airport. The operation began when customs officers detained a passenger arriving from Mexico after discovering over 26 kilograms of the drug hidden in his luggage. Security footage revealed two accomplices leaving the airport, including one who was disguised in a pilot’s uniform. Following a coordinated investigation, police tracked a second suspect to a local hotel and recovered an additional 25 kilograms of cocaine during a luggage handover. While three individuals are now in custody, a widespread manhunt remains underway for the final fugitive who escaped dressed as a pilot.
