Man Dies after Falling into River amid Floods in Italy

A 66-year-old man died due to falling into the Serenza River from the bridge collapsed by the severe flood waters in Lombardy, northern Italy.

Lombardy Governor Attilio Fontana stated that the situation in the region is “very complex” and that many houses, workplaces and agricultural lands were still under water. Firefighters and civil protection continue to support those trapped in their homes.
