A 45-year-old drunk attacker, Aco Martinovic, carried out a gun attack after arguing others at a bar and 4 other places in the former capital of Montenegro, Cetinje, killing 12 people, including the owner of the bar, the owner’s children and his own parents. Also, 4 people were seriously injured.
After hours of searching, the attacker was surrounded by police at his home and committed suicide.
Montenegrin Health Minister Vojislav Simun stated that 3 of the injured were still in critical condition and that the surgery for the other injured person continued until late hours at night.
The Montenegrin government declared national mourning until January 4 upon the incident.
