About 8,000 people attended a large street iftar organized by Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan. The event, held for the fifth time, brought together diplomats, officials, academics, students and residents during the holy month of Ramadan.
Participants gathered at long tables set up along the university’s Chingiz Aitmatov Campus on Republic Avenue. Rector Alpaslan Ceylan said the program reflects the spirit of unity and sharing, noting that attendance has grown from about 1,300 people in its early years to around 8,000 this year.
