Thousands rallied in over 60 German cities, including Berlin and Munich, demanding a ban on the far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) party. Protesters accused the AfD of undermining democracy and promoting racism. In Berlin, up to 7,000 people gathered near the Brandenburg Gate, chanting “No More Excuses, Ban the AfD.” Demonstrators urged the government to begin legal proceedings to outlaw the party, following a May 2025 intelligence report labeling the AfD as “completely far-right.”
