According to the Syrian Ministry of Interior, one person was killed and three others were injured after two fuel tankers caught fire last night on the Homs-Tartous highway in western Syria.
“A tanker loaded with fuel failed its brakes and collided with another tanker loaded with gas and a civilian car at Arzouna Bridge on Homs-Tartous Road, causing a fire in the three vehicles, killing one person and injuring three others,” the ministry said in a statement. Traffic flow on both directions were halted, and a great material loss occurred on the road, the ministry added.
Medical and Firefighting teams rushed to the scene and transported the injured to a nearby hospital.
