In Philippines, at least 7 people died and 23 were injured in a fire on a ferry with 130 passengers on board off the coast of Quezon, east of Manila, the country’s coast guard teams announced. 120 passengers on the ferry were reportedly rescued. The images obtained showed the ferry engulfed in flames, as well as the passengers waiting to be rescued from the sea in their life jackets.
Authorities stated that the fire started from the engine room according to the first determinations. The fire in the ferry was taken under control, and the ferry was pulled ashore in Real.
