massive fire broke out in refugee camp in bangladesh burns 2,000 houses

A fire broke out at the Balukhali refugee camp in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh, where 1.2 million Rohingya Muslims, most of whom fled military operations in Myanmar in 2017, stayed. At least 2 thousand houses turned to ashes in the camp, where approximately 12 to 15 thousand Rohingya Muslims settled. At least 20 hospitals and health centers also turned to ash.

The flames were brought under control after about 3 hours of effort, and no casualties have been reported so far, Chief of Police Rafiqul Islam said.
