A massive fire erupted in an industrial zone of Santa Catarina, Nuevo Len state, Mexico, where cardboard and plastic waste were stored. The flames quickly spread over a 5,000-square-meter area, causing damage to three different company facilities. A total of 282 people, including workers and residents from the industrial zone, were evacuated, and 40 vehicles and 100 people assisted in putting out the fire. No loss of life reported, authorities stated.
