Massive Russian Barrage Hits Kyiv

A relentless overnight Russian assault involving 600 drones and 90 missiles battered Kyiv and its suburbs, leaving four people dead and 69 injured. The heavy bombardment devastated over 40 locations across the capital, striking residential buildings, schools, essential water facilities, and cultural landmarks like the Chernobyl Museum. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky condemned the deliberate destruction of civilian life and confirmed that a new “Oreshnik” hypersonic ballistic missile struck the nearby city of Bila Tserkva. As rescue crews continue to clear debris from historic sites like Independence Square, Zelenskyy is urgently appealing to Western allies for advanced air defense systems to counter Moscow’s escalating attacks.
