A large meteor lit up the night sky as it traveled over Bulgaria and ultimately fell in Romania. The celestial event was spotted in various Bulgarian cities including Sofia, Vidin, and Plovdiv, and occurred at 21:49 local time. Romanian authorities confirmed that the meteor, a “bolide”, exploded in the atmosphere before landing.
