Mexican rodeo cowboy dies after falling off bull

Rodeo cowboy Ricardo Paredes Plascencia, 20, kicked and horned by a bull after falling off the animal during a rodeo competition, Saturday night in Tejalpa, Morelos, Mexico. The medical teams who arrived on the scene took the young man, who was seriously injured as a result of the blows to his head and back, to the hospital. According to reports, the young man died despite all medical interventions.

All bullfights, including rodeo, are banned in the states of Sonora, Guerrero, Coahuila, Quintana Roo, and most recently, Mexico City. However, bullfights, which are seen as a cultural and traditional event in many other states of the country, continue to be held.
