Mexicans Elected Claudia Sheinbaum for Next Presidential Term

According to the preliminary results of the Mexican general elections, Claudia Sheinbaum, a member of the left-wing party National Regeneration Movement, was elected as Mexico’s new president with around 60 percent of the votes.

Sheinbaum, who is a climate scientist and the former mayor of Mexico City, has become the first female president of the country.
