Following the 7.7 and 7.6 magnitude earthquakes that occurred in Kahramanmaraş, a team of 140 personnel and 15 rescue dogs, who went from Mexico to Türkiye, started their work in Adıyaman. The Mexican team pulled one person out of the rubble alive as part of the rescue operations. The Mexican Secretariat of National Defense (SEDENA) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs shared footage and photos of emotional moments on social media with the message “There is always hope.”
According to a statement made by the Topos de Tlatelolco community officials, a party of 20 community members will depart for Türkiye today in order to deliver medical and humanitarian help find survivors, and conduct search and rescue operations inside collapsed structures.
