Mexico Volcano erupts 7 times in a day

According to the daily report published by Mexico’s National Center for Disaster Prevention (CENAPRED), Popocatepetl Volcano has erupted seven times in the last 24 hours, causing an earthquake and emitting 42 tons of gas and smoke. With today’s eruptions, the total number of eruptions in September has risen to 12. The report also stated that the dust and ashes from the volcano’s eruption moved to the west and northwest directions due to the effect of the wind, and it was recommended that citizens in Mexico and Morelos states, as well as the capital city of Mexico City, take precautions against ashfall and mudflows that may occur with rain.
