Three new eruptions occurred in Popocatepetl Volcano in the last 24 hours, according to a report published by Mexico’s National Center for Disaster Prevention (CENAPRED). The volcano emitted 128 tons of gas and ash, according to report.
Segio Salomon, Governor of Puebla, just east of Popocatepetl, said that Popocatepetl Volcano is constantly monitored and that there is no significant risk for now. “The shelters throughout the state are kept ready for any situation, and emergency measures are regularly inspected,” Salomon said.
