Millions of Pilgrims Begin Hajj, Reach the Kaaba

The Hajj pilgrimage period for 1445 Hijri has commenced, with special visas issued for approximately 5 million pilgrims selected by lottery. Pilgrims arriving in Saudi Arabia’s Jeddah by plane traveled 95 kilometers to the Kaaba to perform their religious duties.

Over 3 million pilgrims have already reached the Kaaba, performing the Umrah tawaf in their white ihram garments and praying to Allah. The first prayer at the Kaaba this year was dedicated to ending the suffering of Muslims in Palestine. Pilgrims prayed with raised hands and tears, hoping for an end to the brutal attacks. It is expected that around 5 million people will complete the Hajj this year.
