A minibus plunged 120 meters off a cliff in Santiago, Nuevo Leon, northern Mexico, killing 12 people and injuring four. The vehicle caught fire upon impact, igniting a forest fire. A helicopter was deployed to contain the flames.
Santiago Mayor David de la Peña said an initial investigation pointed to mechanical failure as the cause. The incident follows a similar crash on March 11 in Oaxaca, where 11 people died.
