Abdullah Güler, Member of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, stated in a press statement that their tax package draft, which mainly aimed at strengthening tax justice, will include a regulation to increase the lowest pension. According to the draft, the lowest retirement wage in the country will increase from 10,000 lira to 12,500 lira.
“We are increasing the minimum monthly payment amount, which is 10,000 lira, to 12,500 lira for our retirees and beneficiaries who receive old-age, disability and widows’ pensions,” said Güler, adding that the regulation will affect 3,703,788 retirees among 16,180,000 in total.
