A missile attack by Iran struck the Ras Laffan industrial area in Qatar, home to the world’s largest liquefied natural gas (LNG) production facility, authorities said. The Qatari Interior Ministry reported that the strike caused a fire, with civil defense teams quickly responding to contain it.
State-owned QatarEnergy said the attack caused large-scale damage and multiple fires in the area, though no casualties have been reported so far. Iran said the strike was retaliation for earlier attacks on its energy infrastructure.
