Missing Children Feared Lost in Cyprus Ferry Tragedy

Search efforts have entered a second day for 18 passengers still missing after a ferry sank off the coast of northern Cyprus, an accident that has already claimed eight lives. At the port, the tragic reality of the disaster was highlighted by a surviving couple desperately awaiting news of their two missing children, Saliha Miray and Mehmet Asaf Biçer. The mother’s heart-wrenching cries for her children echoed across the harbor, deeply moving rescue crews and bystanders alike. Overwhelmed by sheer grief and exhaustion after hours of agonizing vigil, the devastated woman ultimately collapsed and was rushed to a local hospital.
