At the port, the tragic reality of the disaster was highlighted by a surviving couple desperately awaiting news of their two missing children, Saliha Miray and Mehmet Asaf Biçer. The mother’s heart-wrenching cries for her children echoed across the harbor, deeply moving rescue crews and bystanders alike. Overwhelmed by sheer grief and exhaustion after hours of agonizing vigil, the devastated woman ultimately collapsed and was rushed to a local hospital.
