Mitsotakis emerged as the winner in the Greek election

The New Democracy Party, led by Kyriakos Mitsotakis, has emerged victorious in Greece’s general elections held for the second time. With over 97 percent of the votes counted, unofficial results show that the New Democracy Party secured 40.5 percent of the votes, granting them a majority in the 300-seat parliament. Other notable parties include the Radical Left Coalition – Progressive Alliance (SYRIZA) with 17.8 percent of the votes and the Panhellenic Socialist Movement (PASOK) with 11.8 percent. The election outcome reflects the Greek people’s desire for stability and economic growth. As no party reached the required vote threshold to form a government, bonus seats were allocated to parties exceeding 25 percent of the votes.
