Amidst the widespread destruction caused by Israeli attacks in the Gaza Strip, a mobile cinema is offering displaced children a much-needed respite from the harsh realities of war. Launched by the Masharawi Film Foundation, the “Little Wings Cinema” initiative travels between tent camps to host animated film screenings, face painting, and traditional dance activities. Organizers state that the project’s ultimate goal is to provide “psychological and social support to children through art” during these difficult times. Despite logistical challenges like securing electricity, the team plans to reach over half a million children throughout 2026, aiming to “create spaces where children living amidst war and displacement can play, express themselves, and use their imaginations.”
