more than 40 sailboats compete in bosphorus sailin cup in türkiye

The 11th BAU Bosphorus Sailing Cup, organized by Bahçeşehir University, started on the Bosphorus, one of Türkiye’s most challenging sailing race tracks. More than 40 sailboats competed with each other in the Bosphorus, which is famous for its strong currents flowing from the north. The sailing team of Cambridge University also participated in the competition for the first time this year. The event offered a visual feast for the audience, spectating from the world’s only natural race viewing tribune.

“With this race, we once again demonstrated the unifying power of sports. The Bosphorus is an open course for sailboats. Therefore, it was a pleasant day for all Istanbulites,” said Bahçeşehir University Rector Prof. Dr. Cute Black Sea.
