On the fourth day following the 7.7 and 6.6 magnitude earthquakes that struck Kahramanmaraş, search and rescue efforts are still ongoing. Two individuals, Fatma Özdemir and Pınar Güçlüoğlu, were rescued from the Akan Apartment, located at the intersection of Gölbaşı Street and Bozbey Street in Adıyaman.
The rescue took place after citizens notified rescuers of a voice heard coming from inside the building. The rescue crews then opened a tunnel in an effort to reach the injured. After a difficult operation, Fatma Özdemir and Pınar Güçlüoğlu were successfully rescued from the collapsed building.
According to reports, their health conditions are good.
