mudslide buries settlements in peru, kills at least 36

The province of Camana, located in Arequipa, Peru, experienced a mudslide that buried multiple communities. Authorities reported on Monday that at least 36 people were killed in the mudslide. Numerous settlements in the Mariano Nicolas Valcarcel area, including Pampaylima, Venado de Oro, Infiernillo, San Martin, Posko Miski, and Secocha, were impacted by the mudslide that was triggered by the heavy rainfall over the weekend.
