Muslims in Africa and the Middle East pray for Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan

Muslims from several African and Arab countries held mass prayers for Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s recovery after he announced testing positive for Covid-19. Activists shared videos of a group of Islamic Complex students in the Umm Dhariwa area of northern Sudan praying for President Erdogan and his wife’s recovery. A charity organization in Egypt and orphaned children in Afghanistan also held prayers for Erdogan family. Other videos have been released for a number of Holy Quran students in Chad and Tanzania. The audience was impressed by the videos that were shared on social media.

President Erdogan announced last Saturday that he and his wife, Emine Erdogan, had tested positive for the Covid-19.
