Three NASA astronauts aboard the International Space Station have cast their ballots in the 2026 US midterm elections using electronic voting systems. Anil Menon, Jessica Watkins and Luke Delaney submitted their votes to their respective electoral districts while orbiting Earth. Menon said in a video that the crew used one of the station’s sleeping compartments as a makeshift voting booth, with their ballots transmitted electronically to Harris County, Texas, home to NASA’s Johnson Space Center and Mission Control. US astronauts have been able to vote from space since 1997.
