NASA’s Artemis Program, which aims to carry humans to the Moon, started preparations for Artemis II after the completion of the unmanned Artemis I. NASA introduced the team that will take part in the Artemis II mission with the event held at its headquarters in Houston. For the first time, a woman and a black astronaut took part in the crew on the lunar mission. The crew, who will perform a 10-day flight in orbit with the Moon with the Orion spacecraft, will test whether all of Orion’s life support devices and other systems will work as designed and return to Earth.
