NASA’s spacecraft collides with asteroid

The American Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) spacecraft launched as part of the DART mission collided with the asteroid Dimorphos. Many telescopes, including the James Webb Space Telescope, are expected to detect whether the asteroid’s velocity has changed, paving the way for researchers to determine whether it is possible to prevent large asteroids from colliding with Earth.
