Commending the arms support to Ukraine from NATO allies, Stoltenberg particularly praised Türkiye’s contribution. He highlighted Türkiye’s provision of Bayraktar unmanned aerial vehicles to Ukraine and the establishment of a new UAV production facility in Ukraine by Türkiye. Stoltenberg emphasized this as an example of NATO allies not only directly supplying arms and ammunition to Ukraine but also investing in enhancing their own weapons production capabilities. Regarding the complexities of the war in Ukraine, he acknowledged its unique combination of trench warfare reminiscent of the First World War and cutting-edge 21st-century technology, including unmanned aerial vehicles.
