Natural Beauty of Karlık Plateau in Türkiye’s Yalova

The scenic Karlık Plateau in Yalova’s Çınarcık district offers breathtaking views of snowy landscapes, enchanting forests, and serene ponds. Situated between Esenköy and Şenköy, this plateau has a historical significance dating back to the 1600s. It once supplied ice to Istanbul, the capital of the Ottoman Empire, fulfilling the city’s snow and ice needs.

Today, at an elevation of 700 meters above sea level, Karlık Plateau continues to captivate visitors with its diverse trees, endemic plants, and fresh drinking water.
