The tourism season has started in Nemrut Mountain and Nemrut Crater Lake, which are the second largest crater lake in the world, in Tatvan district of Bitlis province. The region, which received the ‘Excellence award’ within the framework of the European Distinguished Destinations project and is 20 kilometers away from the town center, began to welcome local and foreign nature enthusiasts.
“I am also a tourism professional myself. I loved its nature, greenery, lakes and craters. Not coming here is a big loss. Everyone should take a tour and come to this region as soon as possible,” said a visitor named Nimet Saçlı.
“Nemrut is an even more wonderful place than I thought. It is very impressive that this crater lake spreads over such a large area. This place is like a plain. The surroundings are lush and literally like a forest. It has a wonderful color. Everything is beautiful,” said another nature lover named Ergün Erdoğan.
